- 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract
- 1 & 1/2 Egg yolks
- 3 tbsp Melted butter
- 1 & 1/4 cups Flour (Maida)
- Oil for frying
- For Chocolate Glaze:
- 3/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 4 tbsp milk
- 2 tbsp Melted butter
- 2 drops Vanilla essence (OPTIONAL)
Instructions to make Homemade Donuts
- In a bowl, add yeast, warm milk, flour and mix well. Cover and let it rest for 30 minutes. (Add 1st part dough ingredients)

- After that, in another bowl, add warm milk, yeast and mix. Then add the flour-yeast mixture (of 1st part), salt, sugar, vanilla essence, egg yolk and beat well.

- Add butter and gradually add flour. Knead well to form soft dough. Cover and keep in fridge for about 1 & 1/2 hour or until doubles in size.

- Knead dough again and make a ball. Roll out dough into round shape with rolling pin. Cut with donut cutter (if you don't have one, you can cut with any mug and the middle hole with a cap of any bottle).


- Deep fry donuts on each side until light golden brown. Keep the flame on medium.
- Chocolate glaze: In a saucepan, add milk, butter, sugar, vanilla essence, cocoa powder and keep stirring on low heat until sauce thickens.
